Film and disc are scored separately. A great film can arrive on a disappointing disc, and a modest film can get a reference-grade release; collapsing the two would make both scores useless.

Formats with a completed, published viewing on record: 4K UHD, IMAX 70mm, ScreenX, Streaming. That list is derived from the viewing record, not from what Jesse is willing to attend — the coverage page keeps the two separate.
Where discs are watched
Viewing happens in one documented room, not against a spec sheet. The signal path, every component, and the date each fact was last checked are published at the home-theater reference. Per-edition playback notes are not published yet; when they are, they will carry the same verification dates as everything else here.

Codec, passthrough, cable, and source-by-source format behavior stay unclaimed without separate verification.
Editorial independence
A screener, a complimentary ticket, a gifted disc, an affiliate relationship, a paid photography booking, or a sponsorship cannot change a JG-R1 score. The score is computed from three components — experience, execution, staying power — and no commercial field is an input to it. That is enforced in code and covered by tests, not just promised here.
Material connections are disclosed on the review itself, in its own field, using a fixed vocabulary. Receiving a review copy does not shorten or bypass the editorial gate, and it is never a commitment to publish.

Email is the path, and it is monitored. There is no form here on purpose: an inquiry usually carries embargo dates and shipping intent, and none of that should be posted through a public page or stored beside the collection record.
A useful first message includes:
